The College was established in 1975 with the magnanimity of Late Dwarika Mahto but
somehow it entrapped in legal wranglings and ultimately with the help of another
sainty personality Late Sri Shiv Narayan Rai, the college is located at the present
location with his magnanimous donation of land. The foundation of the college was
laid down by late Rao Birendra Singh, the then Chief Minister of Haryana on 7th March
1975 at Punaichak but later on it shifted to the present site.
The college became the constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, in 1986. Presently it is a constituent unit of Patliputra University, Patna, which was established on 18th March 2018 by Bihar State University act 1976.
The College has distinguished faculty members in Humanities, Social Science, Science
and Commerce, and it is well known for its better results. The college caters to a large urban and sub-urban population belonging to different socio-economic backgrounds to get enrolled and pursue their
dreams of a successful career. To this date the college has 20 UG departments, 5 PG departments and five vocational courses - BCA, BBA, B.Sc. (IT), ASPM and TTM, with more than 7000 students enrolled.
The College has N.C.C.
and N.S.S. organs and the students of these fields are doing well and have brought
laurels to the College. For the all round development of students the college has always encouraged them to participate and excel in sports and cultural activities and they have made the college proud by winning a number of prizes.
